Divya Delhi : Bhopal, July 4 Panic spread among students after unidentified individuals allegedly pelted stones at a hostel in Bhopal late at night. The attack occurred while many students were inside the building, causing fear and confusion as loud noises prompted residents to rush out of their rooms. No major injuries were reported, but the incident left students shaken and raised concerns about their safety. Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and launched an investigation into the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the attack may not have been directed at the students. Instead, authorities suspect it could be linked to a business rivalry involving individuals associated with the property or nearby establishments. However, police said all possible angles are being examined before reaching a conclusion. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the hostel and nearby locations, while statements from students, staff, and local residents are being recorded. Security has also been increased around the hostel to prevent any further incidents and reassure residents. Police have registered a case and are working to identify those responsible. Officials have appealed to the public to share any information that could assist the investigation. Authorities have assured students that strict action will be taken against the accused once the investigation is completed.
