Divya Delhi India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection witnessed a robust increase in June, with the government collecting ₹1.94 lakh crore in tax revenue. The strong GST figures reflect healthy economic activity, improved tax compliance, and sustained growth in domestic consumption.
The rise in GST collections is expected to provide a significant boost to the government’s fiscal position while indicating resilience in the country’s economic momentum. The latest collection continues the trend of strong indirect tax revenues, supported by higher business transactions and effective tax administration.
