New Delhi: Trading on India’s major stock exchanges remained suspended on Friday as the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) observed a market holiday on the occasion of Muharram. No trading took place in the equity, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, or securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments during the day. The market closure, combined with the weekend, has resulted in a three-day trading break for investors. Regular trading across the NSE and BSE is scheduled to resume on Monday, JUNE 2026. Meanwhile, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) followed a partial holiday schedule, with the morning session remaining closed while trading resumed during the evening session. Investors and traders have been advised to plan their transactions and settlements accordingly, keeping the exchange holiday calendar in mind.
