NEET Re-Exam Concludes Smoothly; Over 22 Lakh Students Appeared Across 5,440 Centres Under Extensive Surveillance

Divya Delhi : The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) re-examination concluded successfully across the country, with more than 22 lakh students participating at 5,440 examination centres. Authorities implemented one of the most comprehensive monitoring systems ever deployed for a national entrance examination, utilizingver one lakh CCTV cameras to ensure transparency, fairness, and security throughout the process. The examination was conducted under strict supervision by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in coordination with state administrations, district authorities, and law enforcement agencies. Special arrangements were made to prevent malpractice, including biometric verification, AI-enabled surveillance, frisking at entry points, and real-time monitoring of examination centres. Officials reported that the examination was conducted peacefully in most regions, with only a few minor logistical issues that were resolved promptly. The large-scale deployment of surveillance infrastructure and security personnel helped maintain the integrity of the examination process.   NEET remains the country’s largest medical entrance examination, serving as the gateway for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses across India. The successful completion of the re-examination is expected to provide relief to lakhs of aspiring medical students and their families, who had been awaiting a fair and transparent assessment process.
