Bhiwadi Chemical Factory Blaze Claims 7 Lives, 2 Still Missing

DIVYA DELHI : Bhiwadi, Rajasthan: At least seven workers were killed and two remain trapped after a fire broke out at a chemical factory in Bhiwadi’s Khushkhera-Karoli industrial area officials told news agency PTI. Additional District Magistrate Sumita Mishra said police discovered the fire during a routine patrol and launched a prompt rescue operation. Nine workers were initially trapped, with seven bodies recovered so far. Efforts continue to rescue the remaining two. Other Recent Industrial Accidents Basaralu, Karnataka Two migrant workers died and four were injured when a chemical storage tank exploded at Keerthi Chemical Factory. Injured workers are undergoing treatment at Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences. Balodabazar–Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh (Last month): A steel plant blast killed six workers and injured five at the dust settling chamber. State authorities have called for strict investigations to prevent further tragedies.
