DIVYA DELHI : Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri’s romantic-action drama O’Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, earned an estimated ₹8.25 crore nett on its opening day, with a 14.86% overall occupancy, according to Sacnilk. The film has outperformed Kapoor’s recent releases, including Deva (₹5.50 crore), Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (₹6.70 crore), and Jersey (₹3.2 crore). The movie also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia, and is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Director Vishal Bhardwaj shared an emotional note ahead of the release, calling the film a reflection of his “immense capacity for both love and violence.” Critic Saibal Chatterjee gave it 3.5/5 stars, praising its “vivid, visceral, and visually varied” storytelling.
