5th Battalion, CRPF, celebrated its 69th Raising Day

The 5th Battalion, CRPF, celebrated its 69th Raising Day with great enthusiasm and cordiality. The program began with paying tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs’ Memorial, where Surendra Kumar, Commandant, 5th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force, laid a wreath. The special guard then saluted the Commandant at the Quarter Guard. Following this, a special Sainik Sammelan was held, where the Commandant briefed the soldiers on the battalion’s achievements. Personnel were also honored with medals earned during their Mahakumbh duty, and gallantry medal recipients were also honored at the Sainik Sammelan. In the evening, a cultural program was organized, with Prof. (Dr.) Jagdish Mukhi, former Governor of Assam and former Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as the chief guest. In addition, Sunil Jindal, a well-known BJP leader, President of the Delhi State Trade Cell, and a social worker; Sarita Jindal, a former councilor and former President of the BJP, Vikaspuri; Rekha Ji, a renowned social worker and mother of Indian Bollywood actress Ms. Esha Gupta; Rajiv Jha, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court and National Secretary, NCP; Kavita Jha, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court; Puneet Singh, MD, CoLab Platforms Limited and founder of various world-renowned cricket leagues; Gurpreet Singh, Founder of the Sher-e-Punjab Cricket Team and founder of various world-renowned cricket leagues; Rajesh Chauhan, Vice Chancellor, Avonleign University, USA; Mukesh Sharma, General Manager, Reserve Bank of India; Sanjeev Mishra, CEO, Mudra; Rajbir Malik, DCP, Delhi Police; and over 60 other dignitaries graced the event as special guests. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest lighting the lamp. The event was further enhanced by the presence of Shri Amit Sharma, versatile singer and founder of the band Swet, Rajat Anand, playback singer and Indian Idol Season 6 fame; and renowned poetess Rajni Awani, who enthralled all the guests and staff present with her melodious and patriotic songs and poems.
